There are not many things in this world which i hate, but one of the things i really do is 'Good-bye's'.
And who wouldn't hate saying goodbye, when your saying goodbye to this...
Something that really struck me this time is that this was the last time i was going to have to say bye to the kids at the Open Arms Village because from April my England/Kenya ratio will flip around. For the last two years i have been spending 6 months in England and then around 2-3 weeks in Kenya. But soon it will be the other way around! What a blessing it's going to be to spend the majority of my time with beautiful faces like Peter's, seen above! People often ask, "Can you believe that you are actually going?' And my answer is always, YES! When you have waited for something for two years and it finally comes along, it is a taste so sweet, a taste that is rivalled by few things in this life.
This trip was a bit different for me, i have taken a maximum of four people out at a time. However this time, all in all, 9 people came out to Kenya with me. For this trip to happen all people needed to be given the correct, conatct, visa and medical information and a whopping 18 internal flights on 7 different dates. For anyone who knows me well, you will know, that for this to have happened there must have been a miriculous intervention!
It was such a blessing to be able to travel to my knew home with my mum and dad...
With my church pastor...
With one of my oldest friends (we have been friends since i was born!!)...
and many other friends!
The plans for my fundraising dinner are also taking shape. I feel so blessed when looking at the numbers for people attending, and i am so blessed that my dream of helping some of the most under privileged children in the world is now happening! Thank you so much!
